Wag kang Durara
I hate seeing people spitting in front of me. I mean, come on, you can do that in a corner. You don’t have to act all-so-cool about being able to spit straight when I can’t. I hate that sound of spit or the thought of it hitting the ground with an acceleration of 9.80665 m/s2. Somehow, an image of a raindrop hitting the ground in slow motion comes to my mind. What’s bad is after a moment, this raindrop turns into spit, spinning slowly like goo and the phlegm coming down first. I don’t like that.
Sigh. I wish people could at least find it embarrassing to spit in front of somebody. I don’t care about proper hygiene or whatnot. Just don’t spit in front of people.
By the way, Durara is a portmanteau of the two Filipino words Dura, which means spit or saliva, and Burara, which is someone who doesn’t have enough sense of hygiene. Just saying.
