Yeah…

unlovedwords:

All you think of is one satisfying sex. Satisfying sex. Satisfying SEX! Horny baboons. Self-centered, greedy, you. All you think about is pleasure and not the outcome of your bill right there. Don’t you know that that bill leads to legalizing abortion? Prostitution? So you’re saying that we should listen to you? That we should listen to you instead of the Pope? Are you insane? Are you really not seeing what you have become? Who was that creature who claimed himself better than God?

The devil.

Actually, according to the RH Bill, abortion is still a crime. That’s a fact. While I won’t go on and say that it wouldn’t get legalized in one form or another, it’s still a far cry from what most people are making out of it.

Now what you’re only seeing is the bad side. The evil side. The destructive side. Sure, you could say that this bill supports abortion to some extent. But tell me, why are you so against abortion? Is it because it means killing? It’s almost synonymous as murder? To be honest, I’d agree with that. There’s that human part inside me that tells me it is a form of killing. But tell me, would you rather let these children live in a place as rotten as this? Would you really rather see them in the streets, half naked because their 17 year old mothers have died and their fathers are either young or in prison because they were charged of rape? Wait, have you even seen that at all? Or were you just so focused on dissing the negative side of every argument? I don’t support abortion. But I don’t think it’s right to stand still and watch all those kids live just to die out of starvation.

Then there’s your point about prostitution. I don’t think this country is that crazy to legalize prostitution. I don’t think it would happen in another 50 years or so. Maybe it would extend depending on how low humanity has stooped by that time. But that’s not the point. Prostitution, contrary to most people’s belief, is a way to survive. How much can these prostitutes you despise so much be different from those jobs that involves killing animals? Or dumping toxic wastes in rivers? Almost all our jobs produce similar destructive effects. Some are just more direct than others. But you know what they say, “The means doesn’t really matter if the result is the same”. So tell me, what makes us different from them? They’re just trying to survive like us. It’s a personal choice most of the time.

Now for those times that it isn’t a personal choice, I think the authority is at fault there. And who knows, maybe even the parents. But ultimately, it’s those devils behind those kinds activities are to be blamed. Not some new bill that intends to disseminate proper knowledge.

I’m not saying prostitution is nice. Nope, far from it. What I’m saying is these things, abortion and prostitution and whatever, is a product of evil and ignorance, or maybe curiosity. And if you’re planning to fight evil and ignorance with ignorance, then I’m telling you, you’re fighting a losing battle.

The bill is going to help people. Contraception, family planning, effects of premarital sex(or maybe unprotected sex), you’re going to learn that there(that is if it’s handled correctly). Leaving people ignorant isn’t the way to go. Well actually I wouldn’t say ignorant. I have another post where I said people learn about sex anyway. And it’s inevitable. The best way to go is to regulate what they know. Mold it and point them towards the right road. Now if they decided not to go down that road, then that would be personal choice, wouldn’t it?

Now you might argue that instead of regulating what they already know, it might open new doomed doors for them instead. But you can’t really expect something to be so perfect, right? There would always risks. Ignorance has already showcased its risks on our generation. And I don’t think the results are all that attractive. Now, I think it’s about time we see what the other options can give us. The risks might be grave, but I think that’s better than doing nothing and using an option that has been proved to be useless. That would be stupidity in its fullest.

Anyway, I wouldn’t touch your point about God. But I’m going to tell you that I for one can see what I’ve become very clearly. I can’t say the same for you people though who’s been so blinded by your own sense of righteousness though. Demons are technically angels, remember that. Most of them still think they’re still the one fighting for the right cause. You don’t want to be coloring people black and white.

Oh and that satisfying sex you were talking about? You can go tell that to all those priests who’s been raping little boys and girls here and there.

Oh wait! no hate here. This is… you know. An educational argument with a touch of personal whatever.

About the Plotlessness of some Animes

I hate it when self-proclaimed otakus and weeaboos rant about how this and that anime lacks plot. For the sake of your dog’s butt, everything doesn’t have to have a plot. Sure, plot-driven animes are cool and all but everything, I mean every single anime, doesn’t have to have one.

You see, most of these anime you claim to be plot-less are slice of life animes. Now please, tell me, what’s the plot of your life? Do you really think your life runs in some pre-ordained and well-thought-through plot that you can boast? Or maybe not boast, just acknowedge at the least. I don’t think so. Our life as ridiculously random lumps of sentient beings are pretty much unplanned. Maybe it isn’t if you think you’re God enough but if you’re not, then I don’t think you’re qualified to go on whining about a story’s plotlessness.

Sometimes, it’s the journey that counts; How you get to the ending, and not the ending itself. So what if Rikka or Taiga or whoever doesn’t have a real point in life? That’s how real life works for most of us: Plot-less and for most of its span, purposeless. We just go on about whirling and swirling in that shapeless but vast space of life. Sometimes, even after finding that “purpose”, life would still remain plotless. But who cares?! What really matter are those things that happens to you while you whirl and swirl around life.

Seriously…

Lol, seriosluy guys. I found this video on Youtube called Anonymous - Message to Philippine President PNoy and errr… people were going “V for Vendeta!” and “Babae siguro to.(This probably is a girl/woman.)”

Ummm, I don’t want to be rude or anything but I really find it funny how most of us don’t even know who or what Anonymous is. It’s not a person. It’s a group of people, for heaven’s sake. Does their “We Are Anonymous. We Are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect Us.” look singular to you? We? Us? It’s pretty plural to me.

Anyway, if you want to read more about them, you can try Wikipedia for some light reading. If you want to know more, I’m pretty sure Google has a lot of articles for you regarding all their epic pwnage on the Iranian Government and various organizations or companies like Sony. 4chan should surely come up, too. Just in case you don’t know what 4chan is, it’s an imageboard, a website that’s technically the mother of all your internet memes. Well maybe most of them. Anyway, that’s where Anonymous started.

Ok, you can go out and check it yourself now. It’s a fun read, too, I think if you’re interested in those topics.

Rants, rants and more rants

Lol, here comes the hypocrites. They were all whining about that law yesterday and now they’re going “It’s a-okay after all!” What the hell? If you haven’t actually read it yesterday or before that, then why on our three dimensional world were you protesting against it? Uggh. So after all, you were all just jumping in the bandwagon without reading. You were just another stand-by who got caught in the wave of street protesters. Sure the law does cover most of what needs to be covered but what we were so furious about was that stupid libel part. And come on, in case you didn’t know, SOPA and PIPA also looked “agreeable” on most parts, too. They all cover what needs to be protected, prevented and what happens when you do them. What you didn’t know though is how far it goes, how deep it etches and how you’re actually affected. That’s where that libel part goes in.

Anyway, I find it pitiful how most people on Facebook aren’t even aware of this. It’s been weeks but apparently, they only found out about it yesterday, and for some cases, today. Lol. They were probably so engrossed about their pouty-face albums and chatting with their “crushes”.

Oh and another thing is how some people on Tumblr are telling their dashboards “We helped you with your SOPA. Help us now.” or something along that line as if the rest of the world’s obligated to return the favor. I mean come on, SOPA isn’t just their SOPA. If SOPA got approved, those websites you frequented to and loved so much would probably have been heavily censored. Most of these websites, you see, like Facebook, or Tumblr, or Wiki, or Google, are located in the America you know. If America decided to censor websites in their country, we’ll be affected because WE FREAKING USE THEM! On the other hand, they do not use our websites, or if they do, it’s probably minimal that they wouldn’t even mind if it shuts down. Come on, some of them probably don’t even care if we lose our rights for freedom of speech. China’s been there already after all. We aren’t all that great, Philippines. Most of them wouldn’t even know how to spell our country’s name. So please, don’t act like we’re some first world country that everyone can’t ignore. Don’t tell people to return the favor for something that’s not…err, what’s the term? Applicable? Whatever.

Another thing is—no offense, okay?— but what the heck Philippines? Where did all our originality go? First we do that “Occupy Mendiola” thing copied from Occupy Wallstreet, then now there’s this “Black Profile Picture” thingamajigs going on, probably copied from SOPA blackout. Err, can’t we at least think of something better, more original and something that would actually work? You see, blacking out all your profile pictures isn’t going to do anything. To outsiders(anyone who doesn’t know what’s going on), we probably just looked like some attention-seeking brat who painted his face with mud because he can’t get what he wants. The SOPA blackout worked because it involved something that goes out on a global scale. Wikipedia? Reddit? Mozilla and Google? Come on, when these web giants do something as grand as that, the rest of the world could only join in. But tell me, what does blackening your profile picture do? It doesn’t affect the case. Actually if it did do any help, it’s probably by letting other people know what’s going on. That’s the end of it though.

If you want something that would actually work, since we’re already copying somebody else’s strategy, why not go all through out? Think: What’s the most prominent/influential websites in the Philippines? The first thing that came into my mind was GMA’s, ABS-CBN’s and TV5’s website. That’s what you should have been targeting. Let’s throw our country’s newspaper websites and the more famous blogs in, too. If they all blacked out, like how they did on SOPA, then we could at least expect a better response from those old people in the senate.

Unfortunately though, I don’t think anyone deemed it too… affecting, to actually do it. While I’m not one to speak, I honestly think that what we were doing has been a little too over-dramatic and pointless(sort of).

Oh well, somehow, I don’t think it would have done that much of a result anyway. Look at them. They actually did it in a whim. And when something as fast as that moves, it takes a larger forces to stop the momentum. But let’s not stop here. Don’t be dwindled just because they’ve actually done it. A day or two, a week or a month after this day, we should still be fighting for that freedom we’re so all out in fighting for today. Don’t be a hypocrite, who sides on the greater waves when it calls for it.

So yeah. That’s it.

That Republic Act No. 10175(Anti-Cybercrime Law)

So since it’s a really hot topic, I decided to jump into the bandwagon and comment about it. But err… I’ve been doing that all these time, haven’t I? Anyway, this wouldn’t be, you know, just another blog post about the Anti-Cybercrime bill. This would be my Ultimate blog post about that crap Anti-Cybercrime Bill. Yes, the Ultimate part’s capitalized because it’s that serious.

Ok, now getting at the matter at hand, I seriously think that this law isn’t just a piece of junk paper they’re trying to stuff into the constitution but a rather ridiculous one, too. That’s two different things by the way. A paper can be called “junk” for some reason but it can’t simply be called ridiculous for no apparent reason. This Bill/Law however manages to be both.

The reason is its seemingly thoughtless implementation. Err.. to be honest I don’t know the right term but I hope you get my point. It looks like they never really thought about it and just decided to pass it for show or something like that. I do know though that they did think about it. I just don’t think they thought about its underlying consequences that well.

Take Facebook for example. It’s technically the home of all your daily musings about the world. Here, normal people and celebrities alike say what they think and agree with each other. Also, it’s safe to say that here, once someone likes a post, it means he/she thinks that they agree with it or at least they commend it. Now, say one of these celebrities, Alodia Gosiengfiao for example(sorry, she came up on my wall first, lol), decided to say something on her Facebook wall that the Government deemed unagreeable. There’s at least 1,100,100 people currently liking her page and her wall posts gets at least 2,000 Likes each. Now that alone is a ridiculously large number. But what if she decided that one post isn’t enough and posted more stuff until all of her one million plus Likers Liked it. OK maybe that’s too much, let’s say half of it Liked it. That would mean at least 500,000 people liking her post. The rate would then probably go higher as other people would Share it on their wall.

Now you see, under that stupid law, you post something they don’t like, they file a case against you. The catch though is it isn’t clear who gets the blame. Is it the original poster? How about those who Liked it and Shared it? They technically agree with it, too, right? I mean they even posted it on their own wall. So does that mean they get sued, too? That’s where this law gets ridiculous. You do not simply file a case against 500,000 people for agreeing about something.

Imagine again, what if at least 50 other celebrities decided to post something disagreeable? It wouldn’t be too much to say they’re probably be able to get at least a million Likers, right?

Now tell me, any of you 13 Senators who supported that law, where are you going to keep all those people? Do you really think the Philippines is all that capable of suing 1,000,000 people for Liking something you don’t agree with?

But wait, There’s more! Apparently there’s this other Social Networking site where people are less thoughtful about their words called Twitter. Are you going to sue them all, too? If yes, then at this rate you’ll be able to sue half of the country’s population in a whim! Would you please tell me—no explain it with details— where in the Philippines are you going to keep all of us?! You can barely even take care of all the current prisoners in jail and now you’re planning to make a law to put everyone there? Come on, where’s common sense there?

And please don’t tell us we’ll manage it properly because you never did manage anything properly. What happened to Gloria again? What happened to Maguindanao Massacre? How about CJ Corona? That plagiarism issue? They were all forgotten. Now are you really telling us, making us believe, that you’ll be able to do your job here? You can’t even send those who’s obviously been in fault to jail. Very clever. Very clever, indeed. I’ve never finished college, but I should say, for old, educated men of our country, aren’t you a little too… nevermind.

So that’s it. To be honest, this law is simply ridiculous. You’re trying to make something that would strip everyone of their freedom. We’re not China for heaven’s sake! And we aren’t America, too, to be all that grand in making ridiculous laws. If you’re going to make one, make sure you can handle it, and that you won’t be causing more harm than good. Most of the people who’s going to be “helped” by this law would be you guys, and for most part of it, probably just for the election.

Please, please, please. One day, don’t go wondering “Where did all my country men go?” We’re probably already away from this rotten country. And it’s gonna be your fault.

How to actually deactivate your Tumblr blogs

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of people on my Tumblr Dashboard going all “Maybe I should deactivate my Tumblr Blog…” Now that’s sad, really. But you see, the next day they’re still there, still as sad and vulnerable as yesterday and still blogging about deactivating. Well I find it weird how they’re still there after thinking about deactivating so I tried to find reasons why they weren’t able to do so. And I found three.

First is they changed their minds. Well now that’s good and all. Hurray for you for overcoming that feeling of vulnerability that you should be used to right now since you do it 14 times every fortnight after all. Continue your lovely blogging life then, and live prosperously!

That said, let’s move on to the second reason. Now, the second one is rather… weird. Maybe it’s just me. Well, the second reason I found is they’re probably doing it to get attention from their followers. Yeah, yeah, I know. That’s ridiculous and pathetic, right? I mean, who would want to waste time to post stuff they’re not actually going to do just to get attention, right? So I had to dismiss that option. No one would do that, you see. That’s just weird and senseless.

And that’s how I got to my third option/reason. I know I didn’t even really explain how I got to the third conclusion but please bear with me. My mind’s extremely lapsy since it’s only as big as a piece of nagaraya. Anyway, enough blather, the third reason is simple: They don’t know how to deactivate their accounts.

So that’s it. I instantly knew I just had to teach them how to do it. Imagine those poor blokes being bounded by their inability to use Google Search and having to endure another night in this awful place they so wanted to leave the night before, namely, Tumblr.

Right, so here’s how to actually delete/deactivate/obliviate your Tumblr blogs from Tumblr-verse:

All you’ll have to do is click this link. Now Tumblr is actually considerate to let you reconsider your decision so they put this page where you get to choose whether you’re sure or not. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Just click on the red button. The green button will lead you back to Tumblr “the awful”.

Fortunately, unlike Facebook, it doesn’t give you that 14-day thing to reconsider your choice again. So it will be gone for good. Your problem will be as well since you wanted it anyway.

That’s it! That’s how easy deactivating your account is. Now there’s no reason left to not deactivate after you decided to. I mean, the first one’s okay now, the second’s really, really pathetic and the third’s solved. Rejoice now, my sham friends.

This post is brought to you by an orphaned eggplant, an omnipotent dust and a yet to be identified ten wheeler-truck.

You know what’s the second worst torture in the world?

It’s arguing with an unreasonable person.

And alas! Guess what, my old man’s one! Sigh. I just don’t know how to deal with him. If he didn’t see you do it, it didn’t happen. If you waited him to see you do it, you’re all “just for show”. If I try to avoid them as much as possible, I look like “a criminal hiding in dark places” but if he see’s me doing my thing anywhere, he gets ballistic like hell. Sigh. I guess that’s good at some point though. At least I get to compare myself to him. At least I get to see how “unreasonable people” works and get to avoid becoming one. He’s my standard for unreasonability.

Maybe that’s it. Maybe I should see people I don’t fancy that much like they’re in some social experiment. Lol. They’re my guinea pigs and I wouldn’t have to worry about how they act/behave because it’s gonna be just a part of my observation.

Oh yeah, incase you’re wondering what’s the worstest(yes, yes. It’s worstest) torture for me in the world, that would be drowning. I… don’t want to die drowning. And I don’t even know how to swim. So despite being impeccably irrelevant to this post, go away deep, dark, swimming pools.

On Reblogging your own posts

So before all, I’d want to clear out that this post is not, in any way, made to offend anyone. So before you all go ballistic on me for posting this, read on first. I know this is a really touchy topic but hell, just hear me out.

In my opinion, reblogging your own posts is—here I go, I’m really gonna say it, damn!— weird, and relatively pointless. I don’t really see how it would help your blog at all. Aside from gaining notes, I don’t think there’s any more “real” reasons for doing that. But please, calm down. I’m not going to tell you guys off anyway. Just as the first phrase of this paragraph says, that’s an opinion. Believe that or not, it’s your choice. I don’t hold any right to tell you guys to stop doing it nor am I going to tell you to.

Instead, I’m going to present you some points that proves that reblogging your own post is pointless. First, it’s not healthy for a blog. You see, you’re focusing too much attention on your dashboard, and you’re forgetting that there’s this blog out there online that the rest of the world can see. Reblogging your own posts basically also means duplicating your post. Now tell me, have you ever seen a journal or a diary that has the same thing on two different days? As for me, I’m pretty sure I haven’t yet. But if I do find such a journal or a blog, I think I’ll be damned. I’ll probably go “Woah, I think I’ve read this post already, this blog is creepy, x x x x x! Damnit close your stupid tab!” I mean, I’m telling you, actual blog readers wouldn’t like two(or a couple of hundred) posts containing the same thing.

Next is— here I go again, sorry— it’s note-whore-some. Now please don’t be offended. That was an adjective describing the act of reblogging posts, not the rebloggers. So rest assured that I’m not calling anyone a note-whore or anything of the likes. But yeah, I don’t think there’s any other reason for people to reblog their own post but the notes. Some people would say “It’s for new followers to get a chance to see my older posts!” But is it really? You see, if somebody really wants what you have in your blog, then they’re going to dig that blog down to the Mohorovicic discontinuity. Well, I’d understand reblogging posts about jokes or whathaveyou, but reblogging a personal post? Totally weird. And I think reblogging it once every fortnight is enough, too. Going on a reblog rampage of your post isn’t really nice to see either. Besides, if it’s not really for the notes, then why not just re-post the post then delete the original instead of just reblogging it? That way, there wouldn’t be any duplicates of your posts on every page of your blog. And well, while you’re at it, why not try to improve the post? Add some new ideas regarding the post. Bloggers should get more ideas every once in a while and avoid being static. It wouldn’t take that much time either. You’re just copy-pasting a post.

Lastly, even if we know that Tumblr is a very powerful tool(-ish. Err, the search function sucks), I think reblogging your own post is a waste of space for their servers. They don’t even support it, you know. I mean, if you try reblogging your own post, that Post to dropdown menu wouldn’t show the blog where it was posted right? So right, I don’t think it’s a really nice habit.

Well again, this isn’t intended to offend you guys. I’m just pointing out what’s not good about it. And while I’m at it, here’s an alternative for reblogging posts: Instead of reblogging the post, why not insert a link of the post you want to reblog on one of your recent posts? You can put it at the end of every post and wrap it with the <small> tag and put it below an <hr> so people would know that it’s not a part of the entire post but rather some advertisement for your older posts? That way, you get to save more notes and not end up becoming an owner of a blog that looks like they’ve undergone some copy-pasting internecion.

Err, yeah. That’s it.

Edit: Idiayamianan suggested making the original post private after you reblog it. I think that’s a good way to do it, too. The note’s there and no duplicates. Everyone happy. Lol.

On the other hand…

I’ve been seeing these posts about Plagiarism all over my Tumblr Dashboard and Facebook wall lately. I guess it’s connected to that plagiarism issue  in the Senate. Well I just wanted to throw in some opinions about the people on Tumblr reacting horridly about it.

You see, you don’t have to go amuck about it. I’m not saying it’s not a big deal but you guys are not one to talk. You go around Tumblr, posting quotes or one-liners you find in someone else’s blog and put in yourself as the source. As far as my meager knowledge goes, that’s not far from plagiarism. So you know… you could at least stop sourcing yourself first before throwing stones at people. Just because you’re not as high as someone in the Senate or just because you’re blog isn’t “real”, it doesn’t mean you’re safe or exempted from all these laws or rules you throw at them.

Oh, ummm, I’m not defending the Senator just so you know. I couldn’t care less about him. He’s got Eat Bulaga anyway if he ever got kicked out. I think they should consider kicking him out by the way. I know some college students who failed a whole class and had to shift to a different career course because of “plagiarizing” a short quote from a policeman for their thesis back in my college days. While we, the small and unimportant, aren’t exempted from the law, I think those on the higher ranks should abide to it as well. It would totally be unfair to those who’s been kicked out for the same offence.

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette

So while taking a break from painting our gate a while ago and having a cup of coffee which I technically inhaled within a minute after it was brewed, I reached a conclusion about something that isn’t worth blogging about. I’m still blogging about it, though. Mental me. Anyway, here’s what I concluded:

I don’t like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

You know, it’s that show where one guy/girl meets up with people and supposedly find their “soulmates” from them. I don’t see how these people can call someone their soulmate that easily. I mean come on, they’re dating more than 10 people at the same time, some even get more than just second bases, and they still call each other soulmates. I don’t get it. Even if you dig your way down to the Mohorovicic Discontinuity, or maybe even to the center of the Earth for that matter, to find a reason for me, I still wouldn’t get it. You probably wouldn’t find one there anyway.

What surprises me even more is the fact that these show’s got more than one season! They’re showing The Bachelorette 6 here. So that means there’s been 5 other people in the world who’s tried to find their soulmate by dating random people on TV. Sigh. However hard I try to see it from different angles, I just couldn’t see its point.

Oh well, maybe that’s just me. Maybe they do find their soulmates there. That would only support the idea that soulmates are made/developed rather than pre-destined though. Maybe it is. Maybe people do actually enjoy watching stuff like this. I don’t though. I just happened to come across it while waiting for re-runs of Nikita Season 2 to air.

Lol. But seriously. Soulmate my ass.
